Call for Papers on „Quality Development in Academia“

CfP of the Journal „Beiträge zur Hochschulforschung“

This Call for Papers for a special issue of the journal Beiträge zur Hochschulforschung seeks contributions on aspects of quality development in academia that are usually not in the centre of attention. This concerns both empirically-based studies on the conditions fostering quality in academia and contributions on conditions and frameworks that are conducive to quality development in academia. The spectrum of topics ranges from subject-specific quality cultures and regimes of inter-institutional quality assurance, peer review, research ethics and dealing with “failure” in academia science to accountability and reporting approaches. A wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods are welcome.

Various types of manuscripts of different orientation and length are welcome, in English or German: Research articles (quantitative or qualitative studies), research notes as well as in-sights into practice. Formatting details are in the “Instructions for Authors” section.

The editors responsible for this special issue are Prof. Dr. Justin Powell (University of Luxembourg), Prof. Dr. Frank Ziegele (CHE Centre for Higher Education Development, Gütersloh and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences) and Dr. Johanna Witte (Bavarian State Institute for Higher Education Research and Planning (IHF), Munich).
